feather

A feather falls differently than anything else. Too light to simply drop, too heavy to truly float. It negotiates with the air.

Each barb and barbule catches tiny currents, creating drag that varies with angle. It tips, rotates, drifts sideways, finds momentary lift, then surrenders again to gravity.

Move to create air currents. The feather will find its way down, eventually. There's no hurry.

The feather doesn't fight the air. It dances with it.
