The ensō is a sacred symbol in Zen Buddhism — a circle drawn in one breath, one stroke. It represents enlightenment, the void, the universe. Each circle reveals the state of the artist's mind at the moment of creation. Imperfection is embraced; the gap in the circle (if present) allows for movement and development.
Click or tap anywhere to draw a new circle. Each ensō is unique — the brush wobbles slightly, the ink bleeds differently, the gap varies. Watch. Breathe. Let go.
A breath in before the stroke. The soft sound of brush on paper. A singing bowl at completion. Then silence.
